The Music Department offers applied lessons on violin, viola, cello and double bass. Students can sign up for a half-hour or one hour weekly lesson. Our faculty are active soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral musicians, and have different specialties from classical to jazz to Latin American music.
Our string ensembles offer the opportunity for chamber music, including trios, quartets and quintets, with formal concerts as well as on- and off- campus opportunities.
All string players are encouraged to audition for the Keene State College Orchestra.
