The Keene State College Orchestra’s mission is to be a first-class college performing ensemble in New Hampshire, and to provide experience and training for young musicians in orchestral performance.

The Music that the KSC Orchestra performs ranges from traditional to cutting-edge contemporary, and is selected to feature musicians who are taking part in the orchestra. We are committed to being part of the diversification of orchestral repertoire, and our programming strives to be representative of our larger community and members. In April of 2020, the KSC Orchestra will be featuring not only some fantastic music, but showcasing what our students are made of. Assistant Conductor and Violin Performance Major Nick So will conduct Verdi’s Nabucco Overture. This concert will also feature a number of KSC’s Student Concerto/Aria Competition winners. The concert will then close with a bombastic Russian Symphony compiled of symphonic movements by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and Borodin.

With rehearsal twice a week we welcome experienced musicians, students, faculty, and community members who are committed to our ensemble’s goal of excellence.
