Film Studies almuni have found success in a variety of positions across the film and television industry, in film distribution and exhibition, and as makers of unique works of film and video.

Below are a few recent alumni profiles:

Danny Stavens

“Since graduating from Keene State College in May of 2018, I’ve been taking advantage of many opportunities to gain experience in the entertainment industry! The summer after graduating, I spent a few weeks as a temporary production assistant on NBC’s “The Voice.” During this experience, I traveled around New England with several production crews to film contestant segments and interviews. In the early fall, I decided to move to Los Angeles in search of more industry opportunities. I’ve since begun a full time position as a technical coordinator at Sony Picture Entertainment’s Creative Center, where I contribute to the processing, sourcing, and final delivery of promotional television content produced by Sony Pictures Television. I’m looking forward to see what opportunities arise as I continue to expand on the skills and experiences I gained at Keene State College!”

Rachel Blumberg

“I graduated in 3 years; I did a double option in Production and Critical Studies, finishing in May 2018. Since graduation, I have been living in my dream city of Los Angeles, California. Currently, I have a full-time position working as Assistant Editor and Post Production Supervisor with Down to Shop, a new app that features comedic skits showcasing fun products. I also freelance as an Assistant Editor with Zwick Post, a post-production company that creates music videos. I have assistant edited several music videos, including Kodak Black & Lil Pump’s “Gnarley,” Five Finger Death Punch’s “Blue on Black,”  John Legend’s “A Legendary Christmas,” and Barbra Streisand’s “Walls” – all of which have received more than 5 million views. I am also in pre-production for my next project with my own company, Rachini Productions. I believe that because of Keene State’s diverse Film Studies program, and all of the professors’ continuous support and dedication, I am where I am right now: at my dream job, in the city of my dreams, and not even a year after graduation. If you can see what you want in your future, you can make it happen.”
