I draw a lot, and my printed art and objects are a spin-off from my drawings. My inspirations often come from (my drawings and) old photos, cartoons, movies, abstract art, and various music, Today I was listning to: John Zorn, Marc Ribot, Django Reinhardt, Lucinda Williams, Mr. Bungle, Sonic Youth, Free Jazz, Albert Ayler, Elvis and other musicians from the 50ies.etc.etc. I like movies, old as new but I usually find the classics to be better. I often let an old film noir or cowboy movie from the fifties play on my computer just to be embraced by the sound of the film while I work in my studio, I guess many of my installations resemble movie scenography, untold stories, cut- out manuscripts, dramaturgy, sets, and props swirling together in a whirlwind of ideas and drawing drafts simultaneously. I work with drawings and stop-motion films and play guitar in my studio during breaks from other art projects of the day, usually, a month later or so, Ill pick up those pieces (the break pieces) and include it all in the show. The 10.000 hours show at Thorne-Sagendorph is a mix between two recent shows I had this year, and added some of my ”break pieces
