Our mission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery and the Department of Art & Design at Keene State College share a common vision of student-centered learning based on direct experience with the visual arts. Whether in the form of invitational exhibitions, visiting artist labs\/lectures, or work with the permanent collection, our students will be given the opportunity to explore a diverse range of artistic expression both historical and contemporary. So too, students will build professional skills that will serve to increase their earning potential in visual art careers. These include, but are not limited to, gallery operation (collection development, registration, and archiving) as well as exhibition research, curation, design, and installation. The Gallery will also serve as a chief means of arts outreach and education serving the broader campus and local communities. Overall, we seek to be a regional nexus that promotes curiosity, creativity, and critical engagement with the visual arts.<\/h5>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>
