The Music Department offers applied lessons on violin, viola, cello and double bass. Students can sign up for a half-hour or one hour weekly lesson. Our faculty are active soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral musicians, and have different specialties from classical to jazz to Latin American music.<\/p>\n
Our string ensembles offer the opportunity for chamber music, including trios, quartets and quintets, with formal concerts as well as on- and off- campus opportunities.<\/p>\n
All string players are encouraged to audition for the Keene State College Orchestra.<\/p>\n
